Hello! I'm Jaimee, owner and operator of New Leaf Behavioral Services.

My passion for helping children and families began during my career as a special education teacher, where I worked with students with behavioral disorders, mental health challenges, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Through those experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for the impact that evidence-based interventions can have on a child's ability to learn, communicate, and thrive.

After several years in the classroom, I became increasingly interested in the application of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) both within and beyond the school setting. I later served as a teacher consultant, supporting elementary educators and school teams in implementing effective behavior intervention plans and positive reinforcement strategies to help students succeed. During this time, I also provided training and coaching to teachers and caregivers to promote consistency across environments.

Today, I work as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), providing direct, one-on-one ABA therapy to children and their families. I believe that meaningful progress happens when therapy focuses on skills that improve daily life and when caregivers are equipped with practical strategies they can confidently use outside of sessions. My approach emphasizes collaboration, functional communication, independence, and supporting children in the environments where they live, learn, and play.

In addition to ABA therapy, I provide support to families navigating the special education process. As both a former educator and a special needs parent, I understand firsthand the challenges that can arise when advocating for a child's educational needs. Having sat on both sides of the IEP table, I strive to help families feel informed, empowered, and confident while fostering positive partnerships between parents and school teams.

Whether I am working directly with a child, coaching caregivers, or supporting families through the special education process, my goal is to use evidence-based strategies to create meaningful, lasting improvements in the lives of the children and families I serve.
